Introduction to Oil Painting ( A 4-Week Workshop)

Join us for a four week, semi-private course exploring the basics of oil painting! We will learn about all things acrylic - brushes, paint, color theory, paint application and so much more.  This class is designed to give you all the "tools" you need in your artist's toolbox to paint in oils! In this class we will work with mainly primary color paints, but you are welcome to bring in other paints you may have experience with.

In this class lead by Elena Hart we will  learn essential oil painting techniques, including color mixing, blending, layering, and brushwork, while exploring the unique qualities of oil paint. We'll cover how to use mediums, create depth and texture, and properly care for your tools and materials. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to build confidence in your skills, this class offers a supportive space to experiment and express your creativity.

 We will meet every Thursday from 10am-12pm for four weeks. The dates are below, and the price covers all four weeks.

We will skip March 20 due to spring break!!

We ask that you provide your own materials for this class - I will send you a list of suggested materials after you sign up. This way, you have everything you need to keep practicing and playing on your own between group meetings.
